  5. after 40 years or so Aftermath remains one of the greatest Rolling Stones' album. It's Brian Jones at his peak and even though he didn't have a single writing credit his influence is everywhere: marimbas, sitar, dulcimer- he really colors the albums and he elevates the /5().

  6. May 28,  · "Flight " is fun, with the barrelhouse piano (Ian Stewart?) reprising the classic riff from 'Satisfaction' in the opening. "Going Home" is for Stones' fans only. I get a kick out of it, but it's basically Jagger masturbating with the mike for eight minutes! This album does showcase the songwriting talents of Mick and Keith/5().

  8. Aftermath is the first Stones LP to have all-original material by the group. All the songs were, at Oldham's instigation, written by and credited to the songwriting partnership of Jagger and Richards. The pair wrote much of the material during the October–December tour and recording began immediately after the tour ended.

  9. " Goin' Home " is a song by rock band The Rolling Stones featured on their album Aftermath. At 11 minutes and 35 seconds, it was the longest popular music song at the time and the first extended rock improvisation released by a major recording act.
